A Truly Special Experience at Landhotel

Absolutely loved our stay at Landhotel! From the moment we arrived, Bea made us feel so welcome and was incredibly helpful throughout our visit. Tomas was also a fantastic waiter—friendly, attentive, and made every meal enjoyable.Our room was perfect for three people—comfortable, clean, and just what we needed. We were especially lucky to experience the Northern Lights during our stay! The staff went above and beyond by keeping us informed and making sure we knew exactly when to run outside to catch them.Truly an unforgettable experience. We would definitely come back and highly recommend staying here!

I stayed at this hotel two weeks ago during my Iceland tour with GJ-Tours, and I can honestly say it was a wonderful experience.The rooms were clean, nice, and very comfortable. I also had a great meal at the restaurant, which I really enjoyed. The breakfast was excellent as well, with plenty of choices available.The service was outstanding, and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming.I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

Hotel with nice rooms but boring food

A hotel far out in beautiful nature and close to Hella. All people we met working at the hotel are wonderful and welcoming. The rooms nice and clean. Beds comfy and the bathrooms lovely. We were asked if we wanted a aurora wake up. I go quite frequently to Iceland and am a bit aurora spoiled, but still…. Looked out of my window and got a slight shock when lots of people were standing just outside, looking over the roof for the aurora which I think was spectacular.We had dinner at the hotel and it was quite boring. I had the char, good but nothing special, My friend the vegetarian option which was much better.Breakfast is sufficient but nothing more. Missed som súrmjólk, some herring and more options of cheese. It was nice that there was some chiapudding, though, But still, a nice stay while visiting.

Excellent hotel in the middle of nowhere…cosy room and great breakfast…room wax really comfy and clean. Bathroom was clean and good size. About breakfast: excellent: really nice & dyi crepes..

Stayed two nights, very convenient for the Highlands

Friendly check-in and just in time for happy hour. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel is on its own surrounded by heathland and I loved hearing the birds in the evening/morning. All the employees I met were friendly and helpful.Breakfast was good and replenished promptly when needed. Dinner was excellent on both occasions. The dishes were of a high quality and well presented. The sauna and infrared sauna were good. There is an outside ( in a "bubble") hot tub which alas does have chemicals in it. Tour groups visit the hotel too. Public areas are large enough to accommodate. The bar/ sitting area is comfortable. I would stay again.
