The hotel is situated right in the heart of Thessaloniki town centre. Located on the corner of Mitropoleos and Komninon streets, the hotel is just steps away from the commercial Tsimiski Street and the picturesque Aristotelous Square. A cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe are available. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. We thought our stay at the Excelsior was jinxed but not so. We spent 7 nights (deluxe room) at the Excelsior September 7-14th, 2026 and in that period we ended up sleeping in 3 different rooms. The problem: only very hot water in the showers. In room 39, the maintenance man said that the problem was that the mixer in the shower needed changing. We were moved to room 29. My husband and I recently stayed in a junior suite at the Excelsior hotel and really enjoyed our stay. The room was both luxurious and spacious with very comfortable beds.
