  Cannot fault this hotel! The grounds and landscaping are immaculate and beautiful, rooms was spotless and had dressing gowns and slippers, also tea and coffee bits and a kettle which was nice.The staff are all very welcoming and friendly, the evenings are low key but still have something going on each evening in the bar (mini disco and then other stuff like bingo, karaoke, music quiz). We went half board and the food was really good, lots of different choices each night but still always had chips, fresh beautiful pizza for my fussy child! Desserts were so nice too.La Pergola by the pool was great we had gyros there everyday for 4 euro so cheap! The pools and waterpark are all wonderful, plenty of sunbeds, the vibe is very chilled but still fun for kids.Alaya beach bar is a MUST, its so beautiful there in the evening. The beach by there is gone now but if you go down the path next to Antonellos grill, it takes you down to the beach on the other side. Get yourself a clay mask from the rocks down on the beach! Sea is crystal clear.A trip to Argostoli is such a nice one too, go over on the ferry to see the turtles (go on the 9am ferry) its a beautiful town for shops and eating too. We will 100% come back here it was a wonderful holiday 🥰

  Celiac disease or other allergy do NOT come here

  If you are celiac Do not book here!!! Disgusted. Here now with celiac disease. We checked with Tui & the hotel before booking they could cater for us. There is nothing to eat, told can only eat at the main restaurant because the food is contaminated at the snack bars. Told by the head chef to ignore the food labels they are all wrong. No gluten free pasta or pizza etc terrible service & dismissed when asking about celiac.   Quiet well kept resort , great pools but no beach access

  I travelled with my husband & 2 children (5 & 9 years old). We booked through Love Holidays but opted not to choose the transfer which would’ve cost £250. I’m so glad we didn’t… it wasn’t the cost but it was the thought of the coach stopping & starting along the winding roads. We jumped into a taxi to the port in Argostoli (€25 ) which took 20 mins, easily walked on to the Ferry to Lixouri (€8 - just pay on the boat) & another taxi from Lixouri to hotel (€25) 15 minute ride… on the Ferry you can sit in top deck and see the whole island, it was just lovely and so easy!The Hotel - amazing resort, had 3 pools, 1 was at the ‘top’ near the restaurant, this seemed more quiet for adults but there were children there. The main pool by the entertainment area was amazing and also there was the splash park A-M-azing. Well kept, easy to get sunbeds in any of the pools …. Kids just loved it! Warning though, unsure if it was because we went in May but pools were very cold! Am sure it would warm up later in summer.The rooms - think we just had bad luck as were allocated room 122 in main building, directly above the entertainment area… on Wednesday and Thursday they had live music… we arrived on a Wednesday, had been up since 2am and were just falling asleep when it was like a speaker had been put next to our ears, it was like the music was in our room! Part delirious from being so tired I spoke to reception and after some tears from me (!) they moved us temporarily for the night into the next block for the night …. It was still loud but not as bad as the first room. The next day they kindly sorted another room 363. It was perfect! They were so accommodating and lovely about it. But why they have any rooms directly above that music is beyond me… it’s a family resort and lots of children who Naturally need to sleep early and music doesn’t finish until midnight.The beach - there is no beach access…. Be warned! You can walk down the lane to the beach that once was there but due to erosion and sliding rocks it is no more!! There is a very small section at the bottom of the cliffs but dangerous due to falling rocks. We ended up hiring a car (car hire directly next door and didn’t need to pre book ) for 3 days and visited Lepeda beach and went into Lixouri. We also drove to Melissani Lake and Myrtos beach…. My daughter was very car sick as roads are winding and narrow so am unsure we would do that again. Myrtos beach was stunning but was pebble not sand and there was no shade at all, again could be the time of year we went but no beds or umbrellas. The rooms - excellent! Once we were moved to another block we were happy! Layout was great, children loved been above us in the same room!The food - one of my daughters was not a fan and my husband is gluten intolerant so wasn’t much choice for him but it was ok. Had a lot worse but also had a lot better. Many people rave about it but everyone has different tastes. Kids entertainment - it was on every night for 30 mins but it was literally 2 young men with hats on standing in front of the children with a speaker dancing to 6 songs. I did think it was a poor effort but actually all the children seemed to enjoy it! But the last night though my children were bored of it 😆 All in all it was a lovely holiday, I’m not sure I would return to the resort purely as there is no beach and it felt quite isolated so you do need a car. We did all thoroughly enjoy it though so thank you to all the staff that made it such a lovely holiday.

  Good but slow service

  Ok…. So this was our family holiday which we’d been looking forward to for many months. It wasn’t cheap but promised 5 star luxury. The hotel is nice, grand and the accommodation was good, ice cold ac and shutters on the windows. Very clean and our room was serviced daily. The pool areas are excellent with 3 to choose from and plenty of sunbeds or chairs free. Now for my complaint. The service is all the bars and restaurants is ridiculously slow. The staff are brilliant and work so hard but there’s just not enough of them. We chose the Italian themed restaurant for a dining experience and left before dessert 2 hours into our service. Starters came out before drinks, one main was missing all in all not very good and there were only 15-20 other diners in the restaurant so it wasn’t even that busy! The main restaurant again is painfully slow in service. One night we had to wait an hour for a table. Staff are brilliant, there just aren’t enough. The hotel needs to look at this as it’s tainted what was a good stay and means we won’t return, not at this price point
