This hotel is located between the Mecklenburg Lake District and the coast of Baltic Sea (4 km), just outside the gates of the old Hanseatic town of Wismar. Misleading "Spa" Hotel and a Shocking Fire Evacuation

We specifically chose Sunday Hotel & Spa Wismar because of its spa facilities. After our stay, I honestly believe the hotel should remove the word "Spa" from its name.The hotel advertises a pool, three saunas, a steam bath, and spa treatments. The reality was very different. very nice and air conditioned room-it was last minute to visit a friend in Wismar and we enjoyed it very much-we have stayed at this hotel in the past and were always pleased. we will definitely stay here again in the future. The room was comfortable but no view. All staff does not speak English. Breakfast was good and enjoyed by all of us. We were out most of the day so don't know about the noise level during the day. I can’t really believe that the hotel has 4 stars, maybe when it was build in 1970.The room was very old and I didn’t really feel me good here.The bed could also be better.The restaurant was good and the staff was very friendly.The breakfast was good and plenty of food. Nice hotel - clean rooms and comfortable beds. The staff were helpful although they didn't all speak English. Both check - in & check out were done quickly and efficiently. Breakfast was good. One drawback was the bathtub & shower which were both slightly old. Also, the wi-fi isn't very good.
