This attractive city hotel is quietly located at the heart of Regensburg. Countless museums with interesting collections from the past two centuries are to be found around every corner in the winding roads of this historic town. Close to the hotel is Thurn und Taxis Castle and it is a short walk to various shopping venues, cosy bars and links to the public transport network that lie about 300 m away. The airport is an hour's drive away.

The hotel was built in 1891. Guests have a choice of 3 single rooms and 49 double rooms located in two 3-storey buildings with lifts. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A baggage storage service and a safe are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee). Further services include a car hire service, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area. Complimentary newspapers are available. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. The easiest to the train station . Very spacious room . The breakfast is excellent, self diy waffle is the best. Having said that , would be great to provide a ramp at the entrance for luggage. This means stroller or wheelchair has limitations at entrance too. (Out of 2 entrance , least is 3 steps ) Toilet and shower are separated .. cool for family no needing to waitThe easiest to the train station . Very spacious room . 4.5 stars from my side for this unique artful and historical central hotel with own parking for the renovated rooms - reminds me of the Versailles golden era. Staff is great, breakfast the best in Regensburg, the art is inspiring; fruits, small snack and tea available in the lobby if you come late. Our room was like an oven. There is no air conditioner and we couldn’t open our window as there was a pub outside our window which was incredibly loud until about 3 in the morning. We had a horrible night. The hotel is not particularly clean. The staff not very friendly. And at €150, it’s not cheap!! I would never stay here again.Our room was like an oven. Emailed multiple times to the front desk and they completely ignored me. I tried to cancel my hotel room 3 days before my trip via email and call but they never answered my calls or responded to my emails. Lovely but no air conditioning

This is a lovely old hotel. However there was no air conditioning in the room. A large fan was provided but not as good as having air conditioning. The room was clean including the bathroom . Breakfast was tasty from a good selection . However there were 2 coffee machines and one was marked as out of order for the 2 days we stayed.
