NEVER book this hotel, the AC had dirt all over. There wasn't any receptionist only a machine when we came at 11pm. The door had a spider web on it, the room smells, and a few insects all over. No-frills, reasonably priced hotel near Mainz HBF
No-frills hotel, a few minutes walk from Mainz HBF. You have to go through a tunnel to reach it. Checkin is quick and self-checkout is available. The room is good for a short stay, just 2 small beds, a build in table for eating, 2 stools, a place to hang clothes, a TV with mostly German channels. I picked this motel based mostly on the close proximity to the train station. It’s maybe an 8 minute walk. Easy and safe. You do have to go under the train overpass, which has some pigeons and pigeon droppings in it. My room was small, but it worked well for me. I made a very short term reservation yesterday night due to the upcoming weather conditions and finally checked in after 11 pm without any problem and nice staff. The room was as known by B&B.
