Me and my boyfriend spent 2 nights in the Atlanta Hotel, the hotel did what it needed to do for us. The room was clean, the bathroom was beautiful. The rest of the hotel room appeared to need updating as it seemed and felt old in its decor. We went to Leipzig for a conference and sadly the Atlanta hotel is relatively far away from the city center, so we didn’t get to see a lot of the city. The staff at reception was very competent and very friendly. Our room was exactely what we expected with a surprisingly large bathroom. The breakfast buffet has a great selection. Arriving at the hotel close to the highway you can park your car on a covered parking. This makes unloading comfortable if it's raining.The employee at the reception was extremely nice. Unfortunately she was alone so that check-in took quite a long time. The room was big enough and very clean. If you want to use the fitness room, you can store your belongings in a locker. We were in town to watch the Leipzig Icefighters hockey team . We stayed at the Atlanta which is located just outside of the city . What a great choice . The staff of the Atanta were excellent . The front desk staff were the most accomodating I have ever encountered . I guess it's OK for a one night stop. Leipzig center is not close but you can get away with a cab; by bus an tram, the trip takes more than 30 minutes so location isn't great. However, there are plenty of supermarkets and stores around the hotel if you need anything. Room was generally clean although I spotted some spider nets around the curtain.
