Family of 4 staying 3 nights. We were upgraded to a fabulous room (the Ouessant) on the 4th floor. The view over the river, with the city in the background, was amazing. The bed was very comfortable. The sofa bed was good too but only had a sheet and blanket. Right on the river and not too far a walk from the Machines. The hotel had made an error when we arrived after our long drive so they had no room for us. After an hour wait at reception they had cleaned a recently checked-out room for us. We stayed for an Olympic weekend as a family of three. The staff were excellent: helpful, went out of their way, considerate, professional. The hotel is really well located. On the Loire, tram access to the city, free at weekends. We did not need the car but left it at the hotel, on the forecourt. Rooms were comfortable, breakfast was good. Easy find and convenient parking. Generally the hotel is “tired” and in need of some attention. Rooms could do with a refurb. Bed so close to the wall on one side a climb over the end of the bed is required. They don’t tell you when you book that the restaurant is closed at the weekend so we had to go out for dinner.
