Comfort, cleanliness, tranquility, friendliness – everything is there. In town location near castle and towns amenities including bars and restaurants though non fast food restaurants did not open until 19.00. Parking for hotel was excellent. Customer service was good. The rooms and beds were comfortable and clean. Good breakfast. Hotel wasn't what we were expecting. Great location but a bit run down. You enter by driving under a building then go 50 yards to park car. Then walk back to entrance to check in. Not great when raining! Room was on top floor of back block, probably post-war. Entrance to that was over badly broken steps. We stopped off at this hotel en route to Switzerland and it was perfectly located near the motorway and in a pretty location by the canal. The hotel and room were generally a little outdated and could do with some modernization. The outside of the hotel was a tad shabby.
