  Big old traditional hotel, updated without losing its character. Perfect location in beautiful village, with its little theatre, casino, restaurant and salle de danse in the little park right opposite the hotel. Brilliant professional spa and therapy centre second to none 100 yards away. Spotless room, good breakfast, reasonable rates. Not a soulless modern box.   Great welcome to this chaming spa town.

  · Excellent value for money, this typical town centre hotel does exactly what one would expect of a 3* rated establishment. Our twin room, if not generously sized, was adequate for two motorcyclists and all the kit. It was good having a separate w.c. and bathroom. Nice, clean, well presented, simple rooms and public spaces with lifts and the wi-fi worked! (not always so in French hotels!) We did not eat in the restaurant, as there are many bars, brasseries and restaurants nearby. The staff were pleasant and efficient.Disliked · The hot water supply was only just adequate for the shower and took a long time to pull through. Less appealing were the gallons of rusty water on the first use of the hot tap on arrival. It was clear thereafter. Our main criticism was that in this day and age a shower curtain is simply not acceptable. Being grabbed by a cold, damp, clingy plastic sheet when you're just getting warm is not our idea of a good shower. So, Mona Lisa, take out the bath and install a walk in shower with hard partition...   OK hotel, good breakfast, easy parking. Rooms are cold when I arrive. They should put the heating on one or two hours before. Reception and bar are friendly. The steaks in the restaurant are low quality.   Great location, beautiful from the outside

  The hotel looks beautiful as you arrive up to it opposite the Casino. The room was nice and bright. Unfortunately those beautiful shutters you see when you drive up, that you can open from your room if it is overlooking the Casino, are in sore need of repair. I was told that since the building is of “historical heritage” they must be changed in keeping with the same style and that costs a lot of money. However the Mona Lisa chain of hotels has not yet authorised the expense. The inside of the hotel is clean and modern. It would have been nice if it had kept some of that old-world charm. Breakfast was really good but the evening meals disappointing. The staff were friendly.   Had a few days away stayed in this hotel , room a bit tired but clean .staff very polite, breakfast good , evening meal very good value 3 course for €21 each . Great location lots to see in the town full of history .
