  Just 4 mins from the main roundabout and 10 minute walk from the gorgeous riverside on a pedestrianised cobbled street with the local shops right there.20 minute easy walk from the train station.   Almost everything about the stay was great. The bed was very comfortable, but the layout with the television was awkward. The shower head was fantastic, but the stall needed a shelf for holding toiletries.   Lovely hotel shame about the night porter

  This is a really hard review to write because the actual hotel, the breakfast and most of the staff were excellent. The room was lovely and air conditioned which was a god send in the 30° plus heat. It was great value for money. I would have given it 5 out of 5 but for one person and that was the horrid, intimidating night porter.   Chosen at random on the internet, I struck lucky with this choice of accommodation for a four day stay in Cognac. The hotel was both charming and extremely well situated in the centre of town. The staff were very welcoming and always keen to help and advise in any way possible.
