  we stayed 4 nights. all was perfect. The manager was extremely welcoming and gave us many recommendations on what to do and where to eat. and she was an expert on restaurants!! hotel nicely located close to central market. highly recommend.

  Always love our stays at the very central and exceptional hotel. Staff are so helpful, bedrooms are great and so much common space for relaxing in; as well as storage for our bikes!.

  I had a two-night stay at the Hotel de Paris and enjoyed my stay there. The owners were friendly and welcoming and the room was quiet and clean with a comfortable bed and a balcony overlooking the central courtyard. Large choice of buffet breakfast. Ten minute walk from the old port. Would recommend.

  I recommend Hotel de Paris. I stayed there for 11 nights in early autumn. Jessica & her mother Alexia are friendly and welcoming hosts. I don’t speak French, but we had no communication barriers at all. Both ladies kindly switched to English.What I especially appreciated during my 11-night stay:1. I felt comfortable and safe.2. The hotel maintained quiet hours at night, and all the guests were respectful of each other.3. The hotel's located on a well-lit street in the evening and a lively one during the day, just a 10-minute walk to the city center (the Old Port).4. Nearby, there's a large market and several street vending spots selling cheese, pastries, fruits, vegetables, clothes, & more. There're also two cafés close by (& even more if you turn onto the neighboring streets), as well as a Credit Agricole branch, which might be useful for some travelers.5. The rooms overlook either the courtyard or the street (there’s a museum right across from the hotel).6. The bus station, a pharmacy, and a 24-hour grocery store are just a 3-minute walk away.Rooms include daily housekeeping service. If desired, you can opt out of cleaning on any given day. Jessica & Alexia were always responsive to all my additional requests, such as extra towels or toiletries, and helped with directions whenever I had questions.I had a small, cozy, recently renovated room with a French balcony, a large bed, and all the essentials. Room sizes are clearly stated on the hotel’s page, and I was aware of this when booking. My room was on the top floor, but that wasn’t an issue for me. The hotel has a vintage staircase (or semi-vintage, I’d say; not too steep). The front door's locked from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM, and access during these hours is by code for hotel guests. The entrance's well-lit, and public areas are monitored by security cameras. As I mentioned, there’s also an inner courtyard. The hotel offers breakfast, which can be purchased for an additional fee.The only potential downside is the lack of an elevator, which might be a concern for guests with limited mobility. However, this wasn’t an issue for me personally.If I return to La Rochelle, I already know where I’ll be staying.Jessica & Alexia, thank you so much for your warm autumn welcome.   From the very first moment I stepped through the door, I felt like I was arriving at a friend’s home rather than just checking into a hotel. This beautiful family-run place carries a warmth and charm that you simply can’t create without genuine passion. The two wonderful hosts welcomed me with such kindness, making me feel not just like a guest, but like part of their little hotel family.Every detail 😀 from the spotless, cozy room to the thoughtful touches throughout 😄 showed how much love they put into what they do. The location couldn’t be better 🤗 right in the heart of La Rochelle’s old town, yet peaceful enough for a perfect night’s sleep.I left with a full heart, a big smile, and the feeling that I’d just made new friends. Thank you so much for making my stay unforgettable. I can’t wait to come back. Merci beaucoup for eeverything🤗
