I find it very strange that a series of ultra-negative reviews, which are very close in terms of dates, seem to me to come from the same group settling scores. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and had breakfast as well as dinner. For us, it was an excellent time. Regarding the room, we had a superior room and have no complaints, except that the mattress did not really suit my back. The Hotel is located on the main avoiding road of la Mure, with plenty of free parking. But the town is only a 5 minutes walk away.The rooms are a bit dated, but clean. Be aware that the second floor rooms are in the attic with only small windows. Hotel is fine in itself, just a pity that the prices at the counter are much higher than if I had booked through Booking. Also a bad experience with a glass of macon wine with dinner. The card said it was for €6.90, but she charged 25 euros for that. This makes the value for money of this hotel insufficient. Bed and breakfast was good. We had a thoroughly enjoyable 5 day stay at Hotel Murtel. Without exception all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable and of adequate size. The restaurent was spacious and inviting, the menu extensive and the quality of the food was excellant.
