We really enjoyed our stay.Location: 10 mins walk from the bus station & next door to the train station, 2 minute walk to a long strip of cafés, shops & restaurants. Chamonix was pretty & had so much to do & nice places to eat.Room: comfortable beds, hot shower,plenty of storage space, wr had a Mont Blanc view & a nice large balcony. We stayed at the Lykke after hiking the TMB. Great location, close to the train station and central Chamonix. The hotel is clean and comfortable, comprised of two buildings separated by a road. The pool and spa facilities and friendly staff are what make this hotel stand out. (Ask for a room in the building with the spa so you don't have to cross the road in your robe!) Lykke Hotel and Spa was fine, but not during a heat wave! No AC and although a fan was provided, it was very hot! There was a music festival nearby that played loud music until after 1 AM that the front desk did not mention. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. My family and I (2 adults, 2 children) had the best time staying at Lykke Hotel, and was the highlight stay of our France trip. Everything went well, from communication before arrival, assistance with locating the car parking to the stay itself. The family room was wonderful!
