The main train station is approximately 500 m away and with the public transport the transfer time to the airport takes approximately 90 minutes. The hotel was perfect. The front desk was very attentive and helpful with hiking suggestions, rides to the trailhead for hiking and to Aguille du Midi, making a dinner, reservation, etc. Thank you to Lucas. Went to Matafan restaurant in the hotel. Excellent service, very good food, albeit slightly complicated menu descriptions (which actually don’t do justice to food). Steak was top notch meat. Nice luxury hotel with spacious lobby, charming lounging area, and a lovely garden and pool area. The rooms were fine: modern, nice shower, nice balcony, albeit the room and bathroom were a bit small for the price. No AC.
