Only ate, but good
Good food, well presented. Went for a lunch and had the menu. Everything as it should have been - nice open kitchen on the way in. Portion of chips between two was a bit tight, but waitress saw the look on our concerned faces and assured us we could have more if required. It was. Traditional and elegant restaurant
This is a review of the restaurant. An elegant if somewhat sombre dining room in the centre of this small town. While nothing stands out, we did enjoy a quality traditional French dinner together with fine wine and excellent service. The tables are well spaced and it is quiet enough to enjoy an intimate conversation. Will definitely return. This is a review of the restaurant. Délicieux au delà des mots!
We didn't go to stay at the hotel - just for the food, treated by family as a reward for helping them move house nearby!Excellent - we had the set menu, which was full of flavour and a very pleasant three course meal. The outdoor courtyard was lovely on a summer evening and service was polite and respectful.Highly recommended - if you're ever in town!We didn't go to stay at the hotel - just for the food, treated by family as a reward for helping them move house nearby!Excellent - we had the set menu, which was full of flavour and a very pleasant three course meal. So sad, it could be so much better
This is a delightful attractive town to explore and the hotel is perfectly situated for this. However........Why spend money building a swimming pool and fitness centre on the opposite side of the road, which no guests used whilst I was here, when so much better would be to invest in the hotel. Wifi is dreadful and you need to input username & password every time you want to use it. Buys decen… This is a delightful attractive town to explore and the hotel is perfectly situated for this. go for the `food`!
an example of a dying breed: the good restaurant with rooms. NOT an Ibis/ Campanile .An individual and honey family run hotel ( 3rd generation).Good stop off from A20 ( no need to get lost in Limoges). Easy to find. Town is breath taxingly pretty, even on a wet morning.Salmon tartare was a good as could be hoped for. I was delighted that the house speciality was still on menu after my last visit 5… an example of a dying breed: the good restaurant with rooms.
