When we arrived we were given room 19, but upon entry the electricity in the room was not working. Staff said they would rectify it and we went out for dinner. On our return we were told it could not be fixed and they would move us to a room (11 ) across the street and they attempted to say it was a better room, it was not. Room was fine. All clean. I was in the annex and was offered to visit the room before paying. I had a nice quiet night. But some things should be improved for a 4 star quality. The entry to the other building is creepy. The shower was not up to the standards and please get rid of the carpet.Room was fine. All clean. This hotel is smack bang in the middle of medieval Carcassonne surrounded by small boutique shops and a vast array of restaurants. It's only a 25mins walk into the main city of Carcassonne across the historic Pont Vieux. Both areas of Carcassonne are overwhelming! Lovely for a short break from the south of UK

Stayed for 3 nights to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary... a short hop from Bournemouth to Carcassone with Ryanair, with ZERO problems with immigration/security at either end (don't believe the hype we were through both airports within 20 minutes). A very well appointed hotel in the heart of the medieval city. The communal areas of the hotel are beautifully maintained and decorated. The rooms are a little more basic but perfectly comfortable.
