  A quiet budget hotel near Biarritz and Bayonne

  This is a budget hotel about 10 minutes from the motorway. The plus points were that it is quiet at night (the road mainly serves the large shopping centre) which is unusual as these hotels are usually located close to busy roads. Although I booked a larger room, as we had a dog bed to find a place for, the room seemed quite cramped. We were pleased to have a walk in shower. There were restaurants at the shopping centre and a Mc D’s all within walking distance. A good stop or a few nights to sus out Biarritz and the area.   Restful night, great stop over.

  We stayed here last year (2022) and again this year at the end of August. Check in was quick and easy as we could not check in using the machine due to us altering our booking but that wasn't a problem. We had a nice welcome and went up in the lift to our room on the fourth floor. We had a big room, triple with a good size bathroom. Very clean, plenty of lights, plugs and basic furniture. We are very familiar with the Hotel B&B chain and this one is up to a good standard. There's a lot of parking around the building too. Breakfast was delicious and we were welcomed by the Hotel cat who is normally about somewhere. (He also joined us for a hot chocolate in the foyer before bed!).Walking distance down the road is a Carrefour, McDonald's, Buffalo Grill and a few other shops.   Perfect relaxing stopover.

  Visited here for one night on a stopover to Portugal (scenic trip!). Great triple room, (travelling as a family (not teens but doesn't give me the option) but three adults) and the room was very large. We checked in via the machine, which is easy if you regularly stay at Hotel B&B's but can be confusing on a first stay. Upon our return , after an afternoon of exploring the area, we were greeted by the owners who are a lovely friendly couple and made sure all guests were comfortable and happy. We found this hotel to be relaxing, very clean, comfortable, plenty of room, nice bathroom and comfortable beds. Breakfast was usual B&B breakfast but plentiful. Fresh croissants, bread, coffee, hot food, plenty of choice and we were joined by the hotel cat who sat next to us and doesn't seem phased by all the different guests or languages spoken!The area has a McDonalds, Carrefour, Buffalo Grill, bakery and small shopping centre all walking distance nearby so if you just need to rest and don't want to drive any further you can easily eat closeby.A quiet area and a nice stop over we will return.   Tbh the Covid precautions taken were ok...not great just ok. NEGATIVES: - Check- in EVERYONE had to touch the little keypad in the entrance to access rooms so not a treat idea as people entering & leaving through that small area.. Size of room & bathroom for a couple was not good at all. Barely any room to put cases without losing walking room. Bathroom you may as well have been in portalo it was that small. For €97 forv1 night we could have got a whole apartment for that price and have done in the past..in fact although busy cannot for the life of me understand why if all rooms were so small other than it being good for parking & near the motorway. Certainly will not be using and other than the 2 points made re parking and access to motorway would certainly not recommend!   A basic but clean hotel. Lovely large bed, desk & clean bathroom. Breakfast available (didn't try). Dog friendly at a reasonable price (€4), safe parking & near to a restaurant etc. Ideal for a stopover, will book again.
