    Good for one night

    rating18 Aug 2023

A very busy accommodation complex. The reception staff were very friendly. Our room was pretty basic with a view of the carpark and the restaurant next door. We did not need to use the kitchen facilities so cannot say how they were. We did not have breakfast. Fine for one night. Think it is perhaps a little overpriced for what it is. The restaurant beside the accommodation is very pleasant with lovely views of the lake.

Terrible! Bad service! Smelly and stuffy room, no fan provided. Facing lake welcoming mosquitoes.

Terrible! Do not be deceived by the photos in hotel's website. Not worth to pay more than €50. We arrived at 1130hrs not possible to check-in which was understandable. We back 3pm reception was quiet still not possible to check-in. Went back 4pm there was a long line waiting to check-in. We asked for a higher floor room and was told not possible as they were full. Had a handicapped room on ground floor. Walked into room immediately smell urine, bathroom is old n stain. It is summer 28°c no fan provided and balcony facing lake welcoming mosquitoes so not possible to leave doors opened. Room is stuffy and smelly. We paid €140 a night, and we stayed 2 nights so €280 for no service, smelly and stuffy room. First and last we ever booked with this chain group of hotels.

    Huge lack of hygiene!

    rating27 Jul 2020

We booked an apartment for 4 people for 4 days at the All Suites La Teste de Buch. We arrived on the first day and noticed the bathroom was extremely dirty (unchanged toilet rolls, hair in the bathroom, footprints on the floor) and that the bedroom sheets had many marks. The reception was closed in the evening and the emergency number was not working, therefore we slept in the apartment with the dirty bedsheets. The mattress was very uncomfortable and had holes in it.The next morning, my husband went to the reception to ask if cleaning services could come to the apartment to change the bed sheets and clean the bathroom. The receptionist said it was not going to be possible and gave a new pair of bedsheets to my husband. My husband walked around the hotel and eventually saw a cleaner walk by and explained the situation. The cleaner kindly offered to change the bedsheets for us/During a pandemic, we excepted for this hotel to fully respect the newest hygiene guidelines and provide a decent service (we paid over 600 euros for 4 days) and we were treated very poorly.I truly would not recommend this hotel especially during these times where hygiene and cleanliness are a priority.

Not all sweet at All Suites

This out-of-town complex of apartments with swimming pool on the face of it could be something special and our stay overall was fine, but I think it was more by luck than design. We booked a 6 night stay during July ---still early days after the COVID-19 lock-down and there were promises on the web-site that the highest standards of precautions against infection were being taken. We arrived after a long journey, three hours later then planned, only to find that our apartment was not ready. We apparently were not the only ones in this predicament. My wife was not happy and made her feelings known to the receptionist, who could not promise a firm time. To make matters worse there was nowhere to sit while waiting and certainly no offer of a drink to quench our thirst. Perhaps our grim faces did some good, but we still had to wait another 30 minutes or so before being booked in.The apartment was on the second floor in 'Block D' so we needed to move the car to make it easier to bring in our belongings. We could not find a sign on any building showing the letter 'D' but one of the guests showed us where it was. “There is a lift just along the corridor” she affirmed, then with a wicked smile, pointed to a notice taped to the lift door which read: 'Out of Order'. Welcome to 'All Suites'!The apartment was short of a bed we thought at first – perhaps we had to make up the sofa and sleep on that. We were very confused as to how to use it as a bed until there was a knock on the door – one of the staff had been sent up to see if we were OK. She was puzzled as to why we were trying to make up the sofa into a bed when we had a separate bedroom which was behind another door that we had failed to notice. We had only paid for a standard studio – so it appears we had received an upgrade! She kindly also directed us to another lift, this time one that did work. Our six nights passed off well and we enjoyed the much needed break. But there were as many dissenters amongst the guests at the complex, as there were happy ones about the offering. Here are a few reasons why all was not perfect. Firstly, no protector for the mattress nor for the pillows – first rule in being an hotelier and during enhanced sanitary precautions – unforgivable. The reason we did not complain at the time about this was that the mattress appeared clean and quite frankly we doubted if anything would have been done about providing it, plus we did we want staff back in our room. Light bulbs not working, power socket next to the washbasin in contravention of French rules for bathroom electrical safety. No information pack, towels and sheets only changed every 7 days (so we had only one set) and railings on balcony covered with bird droppings, floor tile missing etc.etc. If you are going to stay here I suggest you ring up first and ask them what you should expect. Good luck.

    Killer nigh bed.

    rating25 Aug 2018

We are off to aqualand today for my daughters birthday. We live around two hours away and thought it would be a great idea to stay close, have a good night sleep and be there relaxed for when the park opens. In theory fantastic. We arrived at all suits, super staff on reception. I asked for a quiet situated room, perfect. We are not using the kitchen facilities, they looked pretty basic, not the cleanest, but ok. The real problems started when we unfolded and tried to sleep in the double sofa bed. With every slight move there was an almighty racket from the mechanism which woke me, my husband and my girls, and the girls were in the next room. So I’ve woken very tired, not raring to go and really disappointed that I spent 105€ on the worst night ever. We won’t be staying here again.
