Scandic Rovaniemi City is pretty much what you expect from a Scandic hotel. It feels familiar and reliable. The staff were friendly, the prices were as expected, and it was a big plus that they had pet-friendly rooms.The location is excellent. We stayed at this hotel as a family of four. Unfortunately, the property feels quite old and doesn’t seem to have had any recent renovations or refurbishment. The upholstery on one of the chairs was torn and hanging off, and the mattress for the sofa bed was extremely dirty, which was very disappointing.The only reasons I would consider staying here again are the family rooms, which include a sofa… We stayed at this hotel as a family of four. Very nice room but cleaning staff did not make best effort. There was some chips on the floor and wet towel in bathroom when I entered the room in first time. We stayed here for 3 nights in 2 separate stays. The hotel is centrally located, just opposite a large Shopping Center and is on a shopping street with a lot of nearby shopping and eating options. We came around 10.30AM. We did our early registration and we were asked to come back around 14.30PM. We kept our luggage in their luggage room while we roamed around Rovaniemi.
