  Like a small town by the sea

  We stayed at Domina Coral Bay from April 6th to 14th as two families (4 adults and 4 children aged 3–6). We were accommodated in the Harem area, block 60. The location is quite peripheral, but calm and relaxing, and very well connected thanks to the frequent shuttle (taf-taf) service.The resort clearly has Italian roots, even though it has become more international over the years. It is almost like a small town rather than a typical resort - with controlled access at the main gate, which adds a sense of security. The overall maintenance is good: every day we could see staff taking care of roads, plumbing, and greenery.Food is largely Italian-oriented, but with noticeable and often strong spicy influences in many dishes. The all-inclusive package is good and offers a decent variety. The entertainment is quite soft, but present if you actively look for it - deal for those who prefer a more relaxed atmosphere.A charming and distinctive feature is the presence of a well-maintained and sizeable colony of cats, many of which appear to be neutered and well cared for.The experience was occasionally affected by a lack of basic courtesy and awareness from some guests, particularly in shared areas, which detracted from the otherwise enjoyable environment.Because of its size, the resort also includes privately owned properties, apartments, and villas that are rented out. This gives the place a more “real-life” feeling, with actual streets and vehicles circulating inside. However, this aspect also introduces some safety concerns.In particular, we noticed an excessive number of guests behaving carelessly, including allowing very young children to drive electric carts, which can be dangerous for others. We also observed scooters carrying multiple passengers without helmets. While we are not familiar with local regulations, if the resort aims to maintain a certain standard - especially considering its Italian identity - greater control over internal traffic would be highly advisable.We strongly encourage the management to enforce clearer and stricter rules regarding the use of vehicles within the resort, in order to ensure a safe environment for all guests, especially families with young children.Overall, Domina Coral Bay offers a unique experience with many strengths, but addressing these safety issues would significantly improve the quality of the stay.
