I have been a guest at the Hilton Colon in Guayaquil for years. The team there is very professional and really leave American hospitality in the dust. Priscilla, Jimmy and Katherine of the 9th floor staff are incredible and have helped me, not only in the hotel, but throughout the city. Especially when I leave something at the hotel. 1. We arrived at the hotel at 15:30, yet the room wasn't ready. This is of course annoying because great emphasis is put on guest punctuality when leaving the room. I asked if I would be offred any compensation, maybe a free drink, the desk clerk gave me a puzzled look, signaling to me that this ocurrance is frequent and no compensation is ever offered.
