    We had the worst experience at this hotel. The front desk people are extremely rude. We booked a suite with 2 double beds for 4 adults, which the website states it clearly accommodates 4. Upon check in we were told the max per room was 3 and we were forced to book another room as the front desk person would not let us stay in one room. This was pre booked so we were at risk of a penalty if we cancelled. We booked our 2nd room and We’re going To try to make the best of it when they told us that the pool area was closed for renovation. We specifically booked this hotel as the website states there was a pool in working order. They offered no discount or anything for this inconvenience of booking a second room and having no amenities in working order. Their gym is like a sauna no air-conditioning at all. To top it off on our last night, we brought a little snack to eat in the lobby where the tables are situated, and we were told by the front desk that we had to pack up our food as we were not allowed to eat there. This is ridiculous.I do not recommend this hotel at all. Worse experience. Rude staff.     Dear hotel staff! When we were visiting the Domican Republic for the first time we stayed in Holiday Inn Santo Domingo. This occasion was very important for us as we arrived for the Special convention of Jehovah’s witnesses. We felt very comfortable and like home. From the first minutes we saw your care and concern for organizational issues. Receptionists quickly resolved our requests and solved any problems. We would especially like to mention the work of maid Maribel and employee Jorqueline, as they performed their work timely and well. We could contact to them for any request and they were kind and polite. We would also like to mention the work of restaurant and its employees – we really enjoyed breakfasts. Waiter Julio Claudio greeted us every morning. He was polite, smiling and charged us with his good mood. We would really like the hotel management to appreciate their work. And thank you all for your hospitality! We will recommend you with a great pleasure!     Modern, great service, excellent food. The rooms are modern and spacious. The staff super friendly and the location great. My housekeeper Santa Ruiz was fantastic and she did a great job!I loved the salmon and the tuna tartar .Bartender at the pool bar was super service oriented.     Great service, very good and rich breakfast, nice and big rooms but the most amazing experience was to meet Freddy every morning at breakfast. He is such an attentive and kind person ensuring that eveybody got what they were looking for - I was really looking forward to my breakfast!     This is one of the best Holiday Inn hotels in the world. Other holiday Inns should visit this one and take notes. The service was great, the room was great, clean, modern, and comfortable. The food was great and the pool area is great. Modern design much better than the typical highway holiday inn.
