This family-friendly beach hotel is located in the sprawling Playa Dorada complex, with a wonderful view of the mountains. The club resort is only 15 minutes from Gregorio Luperón International Airport and around 8 km from the resort town of Puerto Plata.

Guests can enjoy the pleasant ambience of one of the 73 villas/houses. The following room categories are also available: 48 junior suites, 44 suites and 179 double rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops as well. The grounds of the holiday village feature a playground and a lovely garden. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (no extra charge) or in the car park (no extra charge). The complex offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, volleyball, basketball and golf. With windsurfing, jet skiing, banana boat rides, sailing, catamaraning, kayaking, snorkelling and diving available, fans of water sports will have plenty to choose from. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis, darts and aerobics. The wellness area offers pure relaxation and includes a spa and a beauty salon. For a fee, massage treatments are available to guests. Leisure facilities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club, a dance club and a casino.

Definitely would stay here again, but prospective guests should know....

I would certainly stay here again...but prospective guests in 2026 need full disclosure: there is a significant construction project happening on site (see attached photos). In fairness, the noise level was not bad at all. This is an old, outdated and pretty dirty place. As some of the reviews pointed out (and I wish I would read them more carefully) the pictures are misleading. Horrible. Terrible. Been to many places in the Dominican Republic as well as other countries. The staff was horrible; the least friendliest I have ever experienced. The food was terrible. The beds are small, cheap, and uncomfortable. The rooms are not as cute as they look in their pictures and the views are not worthwhile. When I called before making the reservation to ask if their beach had seawe… Horrible. Terrible. Been to many places in the Dominican Republic as well as other countries. The hotel is clean and safe and the beach is beautiful and not too busy. The breakfast included is excellent and both the beach and more formal restaurants have a nice variety of offerings. Also convenient is a playground right next to the main restaurant which is nice for those traveling with children. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful to respond to any needs. We spent the day on the beach and loved every minute. The water was great and the lounge are was amazing. Perfect food service delivered right to your loung cabana.
