great people, great place

Charming and authentic, with the NICEST staff possible. The hotel comprises three buildings bult in the 1500s so there are some steps to climb and hallways with twists and turns. A wonderfully located, wonderfully atmospheric hotel in a very old building just steps from the main square. The room and bathroom were large—often not the case in Europe—with basic, lovingly made wood furniture accented throughout the hotel with whimsical art. A hotel with lots of history and character! Staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms have been done up nicely and there were no issues with cleanliness. Location is excellent, in the main section of the town. The beds could have been more comfortable as the mattress was very firm. Excellent location within walking distance of all the sites. This is a quirky, older building… nothing is standard or cookie cutter. Every room is different, which I loved.
