The hotel is 50 metres from Opatija’s main street, superbly located by the sea. There is a casino, tennis courts, a spa centre and an open-air theatre close by. Rijeka Airport is roughly 45 km from the hotel, while Pula Airport is approximately 100 km away.

The hotel was built in 1884. Guests have a choice of 4 suites, 11 single rooms and 72 double rooms located in two 3-storey buildings with lifts. Guests are warmly welcomed by English- and German-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. Very beautiful, classic k&k hotel in Opatija. The service is good, the parking fee of EUR 35 per day was a bit steep but they do take your car and park it for you which is very nice.The rooms are spacious, all amenities you could want are provided. A beautiful restaurant but dreadful service and average food. The waiter cleared the table from the previous occupants and didn’t bother to clean it. Difficult to get the waiter’s attention, ordered wine which they didn’t have- left the menu for us to choose another- never came back. I ordered prawn and asparagus risotto. We had a wonderful week at Hotel Kvarner in Opatija. After upgrading to a Deluxe Oceanfront Room, we enjoyed a comfortable 26 m² room with stunning sea views.
