I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Ambasador in Opatija and can honestly say that it exceeded my expectations.The hotel is beautifully located right by the sea and the Lungomare promenade, with stunning views over Kvarner Bay. Not a true 5 star IMHO, but very good hotel
I personally wouldn’t regard this as a true 5-star hotel. In my view, it is a very good 4-star, perhaps 4.5-star, but a number of small details prevent it from delivering a genuine 5-star experience.For example, the sunbeds are rather cheap and nasty, & not cushioned, and the towel system is frankly rather absurd. Sadly a disappointed holiday
I will try and be positive first of all. All the staff we found were very nice and friendly. The hotel is large and clean with a nice size pool. Our sea view room with balcony was good however (now the not such good points) there is not enough space to hang 2 peoples clothes for 2 weeks as there is only a single (yes single) wardrobe - this is not good at all.
