Let me start of by saying that the staff at GHL Hotel were VERY helpful. The minute we walked through the door we were treated like family. The check in process was very easy and quick. We didn't have to worry about our luggage the hotel handled all of that. The room were very clean. Couldn’t fault the hotel. It’s about 15km from Santa Marta, roughly 35k COP taxi. The location is right on the beach and has two lovely pools. The restaurant is good too with very good prices. Around £5 for a main meal and dessert around £1.50. The staff are all super friendly and the views from the hotel are of the ocean and the mountains on the other side. Let me start by saying that this hotel is far from Santa Marta. Its approx 15km away, so any cab that you take, the fare will be a bit pricey (we are not foreigners).
