  Keep in mind if you are traveling with someone who has a physical disability

  If you are traveling with an elderly person or someone with a physical disability, please note that the hotel does not have ramps providing access to the pool area, and the pool itself does not have facilities for people who may have difficulty getting in or out. There is also no accessible option to reach the restaurant located on the top floor — the elevator stops one floor below, and you must climb two flights of stairs.In my case, four maintenance staff members had to lift my mother in her wheelchair to reach the pool area, and another guest kindly helped me carry the wheelchair down to the lobby. The hotel also does not provide wheelchairs for guests, so you should plan to bring your own. The place they recommend for rentals only offers monthly rentals, not short-term options.I want to clarify that the staff were very attentive and willing to help us; however, it’s important to keep in mind that the hotel should have the necessary infrastructure to accommodate guests with disabilities.   Great Start, Disappointing Finish at Decameron Hotel

  Mixed Experience at Decameron HotelMy 3-night stay at Decameron Hotel started off well. The staff was friendly and attentive, always making sure I felt welcome and well cared for. I arrived very late (around 2 a.m.) due to a delayed flight, and I truly appreciated that they still checked me in smoothly and explained all the included services.The room was overall clean and comfortable, but I did notice a few issues — some hair in the shower and two small leaks in the bathroom ceiling. Aside from that, the room itself was tidy, and housekeeping did a good job during the stay.The food was average for an all-inclusive resort. I didn’t enjoy the pasta options, but there were other decent dishes.Unfortunately, things went downhill when my flight was canceled and I needed to stay one more night. The front desk staff handled the situation poorly — instead of showing empathy or trying to accommodate me, one employee immediately suggested I go to another hotel nearby for $50 a night, saying Decameron would be “too expensive,” without even giving me a quote. When I later asked if I could stay in my cousin’s room for one more night, they first quoted me $120, then changed it to $170, claiming it was due to “high season” pricing. The sudden increase felt dishonest, especially since they pressured me to make a decision right away because they were “about to close.”While I appreciated the staff’s kindness during my check-in and stay, the lack of transparency and empathy at the end of my trip left a negative impression. I hope Decameron improves their communication and flexibility with guests facing travel issues in the future.   Arnoldo with great at the gym keeping it clean and safe the food was ok but I ate.   If you are from the US picture if you will an all inclusive super 8 motel that serves watered down beer and public school cafeteria food oh and the air conditioning in the room maintains the temperature at around 85 degrees Fahrenheit Oh I also forgot to mention that the water from the tap is non potable according to the sign in the bathroom so you will need bottled water for brushing your teeth which to be fair the hotel does provide. The hotel caters to domestic guests and English speaking staff is few and far between. Spend a few extra bucks and stay at the Hyatt Regency down the street.
