This hotel wrongfully charges guests taxes that are not required and refuses check-in unless they are paid. They give you a million reasons to justify why they are charging the tax - all false. The DIAN office at the Airport (Colombia’s tax authority) confirmed the charges are improper, and their claim that you can get a refund at the airport is false. They’re essentially scamming guests. Located in a residential neighbourhood and faces a park. We were upgraded to a privilege room (704) because of our Accor status. The room is towards the back of the hotel and away from the street. The room was basic but comfortable. No heating or cooling but we didn’t miss it. A lot of restaurants within walking distance. Do not stay at this hotel if you don’t speak English and want proper customer service. The receptionist are downright rude and yell at you for not speaking in Spanish and will continue to talk to you in Spanish even if you try to translate and communicate with them with an app. Read your receipt carefully as well as they will add additional charges already paid. I stayed for 2 nights as part of the trip to Colombia. Hotel is very nicely and conveniently located in El Retiro district of Bogota, to be even more precise in Zone T - which is the most luxurious area in Bogota with a lot of luxury hotels, fancy restaurants and shopping malls. I have been using this hotel now for more than five years as we have an office nearby. The hotel is clean and well managed.
