Definitely an above average HIX hotel in a good and safe location for us first timers in Bogotá.Check in was quick and we settled the bill up front in COP on our debit card. My hot tip is not to pre-pay online for any hotel in Colombia because tourist do not have to pay the nearly 20% tax. Stayed at the Holiday Inn express suites and was generally very happy with location and amenities. The faucet in the bathroom was very weird and does not seem it has been placed in the right way as water spills over every time you open it the toilet seat is loose too.I just wanted to say how pleased we were with the front desk service provided by Camilla. Very nice front desk staff who welcomed me as I arrived very early. I was able to leave my bag and explore Bogota until my room was ready. Room was nice with a corner location. It was comfortable for my short stay but interestingly had only bath towels and floor mat. There wasn’t any hand or face towels. Holiday Inn Bogotá exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean and comfortable,. The location was perfect, it's a very walkable neighborhood. The staff were incredibly welcoming. Centrally located, good value, near lots of restaurants, clean rooms. Hotel could use a little TLC especially on the carpets and seemed a little understaffed. However the staff that were there (especially the front desk) were very nice and helpful.
