  Excellent HIX in a good location

  Definitely an above average HIX hotel in a good and safe location for us first timers in Bogotá.Check in was quick and we settled the bill up front in COP on our debit card. My hot tip is not to pre-pay online for any hotel in Colombia because tourist do not have to pay the nearly 20% tax. The hotel knocked this charge off the bill before we paid so it was a nice surprise.Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. I had an upset stomach on my second day and the lady in the bar brought me a special settling tea. The room was clean and modern. Breakfast was much better than most HIXs in other countries and included healthy options like nuts, seeds, and kumis, lots of fresh tropical fruits, and local hot dishes. We ordered the room service pizza and had a soup in the bar downstairs and the food was all good. I was left wondering why IHG branded this hotel a HIX when I’ve stayed at Holiday Inns with much worse facilities. Highly recommended hotel that we are staying in again on our return to Bogota next weekend.   Stayed at the Holiday Inn express suites and was generally very happy with location and amenities. The faucet in the bathroom was very weird and does not seem it has been placed in the right way as water spills over every time you open it the toilet seat is loose too.I just wanted to say how pleased we were with the front desk service provided by Camilla. She was very helpful in English and answered all our questions.   Very nice front desk staff who welcomed me as I arrived very early. I was able to leave my bag and explore Bogota until my room was ready. Room was nice with a corner location. It was comfortable for my short stay but interestingly had only bath towels and floor mat. There wasn’t any hand or face towels. Not sure if that’s the practice here but unusual based on all my other stays.A safe, refrigerator and hot pot were supplied in the room. Restaurants, Juan Valdez and Starbucks coffee places, OXOX convenience and a grocery stores were all within minutes walk of the hotel.I missed breakfast due to an early morning departure.Would stay here again.   Holiday Inn Bogotá exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean and comfortable,. The location was perfect, it's a very walkable neighborhood. The staff were incredibly welcoming.   Good hotel with great staff but could use a little refresh.

  Centrally located, good value, near lots of restaurants, clean rooms. Hotel could use a little TLC especially on the carpets and seemed a little understaffed. However the staff that were there (especially the front desk) were very nice and helpful. They even helped to arrange a personalized tour.Their breakfast offering also needed a little help.
