  Nightmate for families with minors

  Hi, this is my review on booking on which platform I used to book this hotel, An important watch out for families with minors so they are not left in the same situation as us, left in the street late at night to find a place to sleep in Bogota. Also I would like to warn that anyone that is refused at an hotel should also take pictures of the moment, ideally giving context to the place and people and keep some names, because the hotel is now saying that we did not show up (not sure if what they want is for my review to be deleted by booking, I have done a print screen also just in case)!!! fortunately I took a picture of the hotel and staff that proves place and timing. I will not share the picture here since I believe that at the end what is important is not to trash the people but for the hotel to better train their staff and for staff to be accountable for their actions so no other family gets this treatment, which can be quite stressful when you are in a city where safety is not garantee specially in the middle of the night."Staff members had zero empathy, we arrived late at night 23:45 after a long day coming from Cartagena and ending our trip through Equador, Panama and Colômbia. When we arrived at the hotel the girl at the reception asked for the passports and after looking at them said: "are your kids minors", we said yes they are 14 and 16 years old. To which she said "we need your kids birth certificate", this was the first time EVER in all the 50 countries, multiple plane traveis through Ásia, Europe, Canadá, US you name it that this was ever requested. And she continue saying these are the hotel rules you cannot stay here. We asked to talk to the manager DAVID which said the same or similar documents that we could not get them at 00:00 anywhere. So basically they make their own rules when you check in, we were never warned on any of the comunication we had with the hotel. I was glad that our kids are no longer babies, because looking for another hotel at 00:00 in Bogota was not what we were planning! My husband used his booking account and managed to book another hotel and we had no issue with them at all. This leaves to wonder that this hotel must have had several minor criminal incidents and therefore cannot separate what are real famílies from criminal situations. I leave this review so this does not happen to any other family, By the way they charge the triple for taxi from the airport we took uber which was much less expensive."

  Wonderful location. On the main avenue and close to everything.Great staffsuper comfortable roomsRecommend with pleasureThe restaurant is a little overpriced (as are all hotel restaurants) and the staff got my order wrong twice. Just lived with it.

  A very comfortable and convenient hotel - pleasant discovery in Bogota. Nice beds, quiet AC that actually works, good breakfast. Located very conveniently: actually 10-15 from the airport in a quiet neighborhood; there is a good quality free shuttle (perhaps not running often enough). Near botanic garden and science museum and not a bad place to stay to teach the rest of the city (which is very spread out anyway).

  Sleep ok but go elsewhere to eat

  The hotel is as expected for the brand. Its very clean and about 10 minutes drive to the airport. The beds were comfortable. The checkin staff and doormen were friendly and efficient. The food however was pretty grim - we had dinner there which was a mistake. Mostly inedible. Breakfast was a big spread of buffet but again tasteless and of zero interest. Given the really great produce in Colombia I wonder how they could screw it up so much.   We had a cancelled flight. Airline booked us rooms. We waited 2 hrs for our rooms. No explanation for the wait. Good customer service would have been to sit us in the restaurant with a complementary drink instead of telling us to wait in line! Not a good look us all tired and sleepy littering reception-. The room is nice enough. We were given a voucher for lunch and dinner. OMG! The food is dreadful - absolutely awful and arrived cold and congealed. No body wash in the bathrooms. Could add toothbrush and toothpaste instead of hand cream. Think of a travellers kit for goodness sake!
