  This is a very new hotel. The rooms are quiet, super-clean and equipped with a fridge, safe, and coffee maker. The staff are very helpful. Without a doubt, if and when I return to Bogota I will plan to stay here again. Extremely good value for money. The hotel has an on-site restaurant which is a real restaurant, not just a simple boring eatery as is often the case with American hotels. It features a wide menu, and I will be leaving a 5-star review separately for the restaurant. The neighborhood is a very clean and safe modern neighborhood of mid-to-high-rise condominium buildings half-way between the airport and the Center. It is easy to get to the center either by taxi or the profoundly annoyingly difficult public transportation system. (To use the latter, you should procure a transit pass, called TuLlave at the airport) It is about one half mile from the hotel to three different grocery stores or to a modern mall in which, or around which, there are restaurants of varying cuisines. But it is a half mile to each of these, so if you are not capable or willing to walk a half mile, these will not be suitable for you. Criticism: I had back-to-back reservations at the hotel and received two email confirmations. The first one, in English, described the airport shuttle. The second one, in Spanish, stated that the shuttle was suspended during my visit. Had I not opened and deciphered the second email I would have been standing at the airport at the pick-up point for more than an hour before I would have figured out that something was amiss!   AR Spa was terrible and the staff are controlled us we don’t like it. All staff face were bad attitude and bad mood, I would not recommendation.   Wonderful hotel and a very nice area. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, fantastic breakfast, close to everything, huge mall within walking distance, Spa is a must. Overall, a great experience. From now on, this will be my preferred stay hotel in the central Bogota area.   Drinks and hors d'oeuvres and are scam

  Very disappointed with our stay in this hotel. The main reason for choosing to stay there were the advertised " Drinks and hors d'oeuvres" for Executive rooms, and the reasonable price. Based on prior experience with other hotels in Bogota, I thought that there will be at least a few good food options. But for my dismay they offered something meat-like on a stick, some rotten fruit and nuts. All this while arranging the room on the 19th floor for a next-day event. As soon as we got a few of these so-called hors d'oeuvres on our plates, the rest, including the drinks (as limited as they were) were taken away. We didn't bother going again the following night. The hotel is OK, good location to the airport and a nearby mall. The floors of our rooms were dirty (our white socks "gave it away"). The shower had dirt and grime along the corners. Breakfast was OK, with reasonable options, but the coffee was a disappointment. Reserved a pick up from the airport through the front desk, and the driver was obviously there to meet me, but by the time I went through immigration (it took 1.5 hours), he was gone. I let the driver know that I was still waiting at immigration and he responded a few times but then we went silent and was nowhere to be found. The hotel charged me for the service, I was so eager to get out of there so didn't want to argue for 15-16 USD. The staff was nice and pleasant, but everyone, including the employees at the Front Desk spoke limited English. It looks like the hotel is primarily used for some sort of trainings and large events, involving local residents, and is not used to cater to individual international tourists. For my next trip to Bogota I will go back to Grand Hyatt- it never disappoints.   Fine Doubletree in Bogota

  We enjoyed our time at the Doubletree. Very walkable area with the police station across the street. There is a huge mall a few blocks away with grocery, restaurants and all kinds of shops. Very convenient. Ubers were easy and inexpensive. The breakfast was fine. For Columbia I found the coffee dissappointing at the hotel, not very hot. They did made to order eggs/omelets, which were good. There was a happy hour for Diamond members every day from 5-7 on the 19th floor. It was available 2 of our 3 nights so hit or miss. The 1st night had some nice little snacks as well as 1 white and 1 red wine and some beer. We enjoyed the view from there!
