  I stayed at the Oriental two nights in mars 2015. The hotel is situated just a short distance from the train station (by taxi). The location is not close to the historical district and the famous lake but it is easy accessible by taxi. But be aware of the traffic.   This hotel was part of an 8 day tour. It was the worst hotel we stayed in. What we could see is that it is a weekend party hotel, mostly for large groups of men. The rooms were adequate, but the carpet was dirty. Even on a non-smoking floor, it was very smoky and we resorted to putting a towel under the crack of our door..   The room, food and facilities at this hotel are very good, however it is quite isolated and not close to anything. It is only a RMB13.00 taxi ride to the CBD but there is very little to be found near the hotel.   My stay in this hotel was booked by a company in Hangzhou for a special rate. As a business traveler I was pleased that the internet access was free. Can't fault the room in any way. Seemed like an excellent hotel for the money. And the restaurant on the second floor was excellent.
