A very big hotel, very convenient for the Providencia area of Santiago within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the cable car to San Cristobal.Reception area very large and grand but not very welcoming. Staff a bit officious demanding to see our Chile entry papers.Room a fairly good size though double bed not that large. I gave this hotel 3 stars because of its location and friendly service in the breakfast room . We checked in the evening about 9 pm and the desk clerk knew little to no English . Luckily I was traveling with someone who spoke Spanish but even he had trouble understanding the clerk. He kept asking for our exit papers for leaving Chile . This isn't a bad hotel. Fairly good location, walking distance to the centre of town. Gracious but a little tired in places. My room was comfortable enough but there were no instructions for the safe, the bathroom was a little bit grotty in places and I couldn't open the complementary bottle of water!
