one of my items went missing from my room during the day while we were out and then the night staff (who were working when we got back to the hotel) took no accountability, were incredibly rude and implied my mum and I liars. I will say that the morning staff was lovely and did seem genuinely apologetic as did the front desk manager and general manager and they seemed like they wanted to help. My three person family stated this hotel multiple times and have loved it. Phenomenal location in the heart of Downtown near Saint Catherine Street and the Bell centre. Great service from the staff and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Many rooms also have a kitchen and large. We have enjoyed breakfast at the hotel as well as the gym and pool. Awful experience. Got stuck in the Elevator, emergency phone didn't work and Front Desk wasnt answering the phone. It was a very distressing experience. When we asked for a refund, as we just got there, they refused and said just take the stairs. Not happening. After some back and forth they eventually gave us a refund. This hotel was very disappointing in many ways. The actual room we were given was nothing like the pictures on the website. The furniture was worn and dated. The unit was dusty with cobwebs in the corners. To make matters worse, the bathroom had a barn door that kept falling off the tracks. I stayed here due to travelling to see my son off for his year of study at McGill ...the hotel is aesthetically beautiful but there were a few issues with the air conditioning and also with the telephone in my room. But, with all that said, any issues that were raised were addressed immediately by staff.
