Location is just fine right off the highway. We brought a pet and had a first floor room with sliding door out the sidewalk which was nice. Rooms were tidy, a bit dated. The price was quite high for what we got but perhaps due to time of year. No real complaints over all. The front desk staff was polite and efficient. The air conditioning unit was located high on the wall meaning that in order to set the temperature to our liking, we had to climb onto the bed. No lighting available meant it was so hard to read. The ceiling above the unit was filthy with pieces breaking loose. Lastly, not sure who puts the pancake mix together but they need to revamp the recipe so it doesn't look like a loonie. I stayed here for one night on the way to Sechelt & was very happy with my choice. A disappointing 3. We did not have high expectations but the hotel seemed tired. For a well established chain it certainly could have used some updating. Continental breakfast was okay with two cooked items but my wife has celiac disease and there was no way to determine whet he cooked items were gluten free and safe. The beds are comfy, breakfast was good, service was friendly location was decent. For the price of a room I would like to have seen a bit more effort in things like the tv size and a wall mount the little extras to make the almost 300 a night a little more reasonable.
