We liked this hotel. We visited during Volleyball Canada Nationals for U17 age group. We walked to venue. Parked in the lot across the street. The heartbreaking thing was the homeless people outside- what a shame. Sad to see people struggling. Everything else about the hotel was good. I used the hotel self-serve laundry. I really enjoyed my stay at the Homewood Suites. It’s in a great location—it’s easy to walk to the Saddledome and explore downtown and the tower. Warm welcome. The room was spacious, very clean, with a kitchenette. The only downside—and why I gave it a 4—is that we arrived late and it was very cold in the room, and it was hard to adjust the temperature since we went to bed right away. There is a huge homeless population next to the hotel. My husband witnessed a violent incident by the hotel. After I checked out the hotel double charged me. We have not long returned home after a lovely 7-night stay at the Homewood Suites.The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from Calgary Tower and Downtown.
