An older-style communist hotel that has been given a modern makeover, it is extremely conveniently located for the centre of the city and seeing the main sights and especially the old town. The hotel is located on a great place, walking distance of the most interesting points and restaurants. There is an extremely bad smell, coming from the bathroom canal, so bad that I was waking up from the smell couple of times. This is the top 1 reason I will not come back to this particular hotel, despite the location. The rooms were absolutely tiny and so was the bathroom. It was all very claustrophobic. We had stayed there previously and the rooms were quite spacious. We booked a junior suite and enjoyed a very pleasant room with all the usual amenities.There was a very long and dark corridor to get to our room which is OK as long as you don't drop anything and expect to find it again.The hotel is ideally situated for exploring Plovdiv and filled our needs perfectly.
