Sozopol is very pleasant and quaint- prices are higher than elsewhere in Bulgaria though (similar to the UK - maybe a little lower) - there are some fabulous restaurants with beautiful sea views - Urania was our favourite- a must try!). No sleep due to nightclub noise

Do not plan on getting any sound sleep if you stay there on a weekend. We were at the end of a 5 week Eastern Europe trip and booked the largest suite on a Friday/Saturday in order to relax before returning home. The room was nice, overlooked the harbor, a parking lot and the Theatro nightclub. Little did we know that the nightclub would be pounding with music from midnight til 6:00 am. Tried to stop here for a drink, waiter shouted “it’s crashed” at us, then heard him laughing at us as we walked past saying he had told us the bar the crashed. Tried to visit for a drink before going on a boat tour nearby. Was told “no it’s crashed” before heard both waiters laughing as we walked away. Clearly this business doesn’t want the custom. Unexpected Wonderful Surprise

We had a fantastic experience. Our room overlooking the sea was large and very comfortable with a nice balcony. The data was friendly and very accommodating. The rooftop pool was elegant as with a great view. Great for just relaxing and having a glass of wine. Would highly recommend coming to Sozopol just for the Blu Bay.We had a fantastic experience.
