    BAD EXPERIENCE

    rating13 Apr 2026

*1/5 – “Samoa Beach Resort” was the worst part of our Samoa trip*My family and I stayed at Samoa Beach Resort recently and honestly, it was one of the most horrible hotel experiences we've ever had. I don't write reviews lightly, but other families deserve a heads up before they waste money here.*Customer service: rude and inconsistent* From check-in to check-out, the service was terrible. We were told by a staff member named Fred that we could order from the dinner menu for lunch. We did. Then the bill came: $80 tala per plate because it was dinner pricing, not lunch pricing. When we questioned it, a different staff member with a really rude attitude told us that “Fred doesn't know anything.” So which is it? Staff openly contradicted each other and we were left paying for their miscommunication. Being lied to about policies is unacceptable.*More dishonesty about our flight* The worst part: a worker told us our flight was delayed so we didn't need to rush. Something felt off, so we rang Faleolo International Airport ourselves. The airport said check-in was already open and people were boarding. If we had listened to the resort staff we would have missed our flight home. That's not just bad service, that is reckless.*Room and facilities: broken and unhygienic* 1. *Phone lines* were bad. We couldn't get through to reception when we needed to.2. *TV barely worked* the entire stay. Not a huge deal, but when you pay resort prices you expect the basics to function.3. *Housekeeping standards* were bizarre. There were used cups left in the bathroom along with water bottles. Why are drinking cups in the bathroom? And there was no milk for coffee, which again, is basic for any hotel.4. *The pool made my son sick*. Within a day of swimming he was unwell. I can't prove it was the pool chemistry, but he was fine before, swam there, then got sick. That raises serious questions about cleaning and maintenance.*Overall* Between the dishonesty, the billing issues, the broken amenities, and the attitude of some staff, we felt completely disrespected as paying guests. We left feeling ripped off and stressed instead of relaxed.Save your money and your sanity. I cannot recommend Samoa Beach Resort to anyone, especially families. Management needs to seriously train staff, fix the rooms, and take responsibility when things go wrong instead of blaming each other. If you had a different experience, maybe we just got unlucky. But for us, this was the most horriblest hotel stay we've had. Eloi Marques, Revenue management at Samoa Beach Resort, responded to this review Aloha,Thank you for sharing your experience. We sincerely apologize for the issues reported, especially regarding inconsistent service, incorrect billing, miscommunication about your flight, and concerns related to your room and maintenance. This is not the experience we aim to provide.Regarding the pool, we follow strict control standards and will reinforce our checks.Your feedback has been shared with the responsible teams for corrections and improvements. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.Maloha,Caroline – Guest RelationsSamoa Beach Resort

Elizabete, who works at breakfast, Alan, the pool waiter, and the 'clown uncle' (recreation coordinator) are the highlights of this hotel. Luiz at the door, welcoming everybody.Very special people. It is a great pleasure to know that the attentiveness and dedication of Elizabete, Alan, the 'tío palhaço,' and Luiz made your experience truly special. We look forward to welcoming you again soon for more memorable moments.Mahalo, Evellayne Lima - Guest Relations Samoa Beach Resort.

    Hotel experience is for family

    rating20 Mar 2026

The hotel is a nice place for family. Not for singles or cuples. I had problems with my first apartament and I asked for a change and then it was nice. The food is very amazing and Jane Cleide (the woman of omelets, eggs and tapioca) was very noce to me. Caroline Nascimento, Atendimento ao cliente/recepção at Samoa Beach Resort, responded to this review Aloha! Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us. We are glad to know that, after the room change, your stay became more pleasant and that you were able to enjoy our gastronomy. We are also happy to hear that Jane Cleide’s service, preparing omelets, eggs, and tapiocas, made a difference in your experience. It will be a pleasure to share your kind words with her.Thank you for your comments, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again for another stay with us.Mahalo,Caroline Fernanda – Guest RelationsSamoa Beach Resort

A medium resort for too much money

    rating25 Jan 2026

Samoa beach resort is situated about one hour of driving from Recife Airport. Taxi prices are very fair. The resort is lying next to the Atlantic, but is protected by a reef 200 meters from the beach. The rooms have nice beds, but they are not big and don't have much space for the luggage. Even located at the sea there is very little seaview from the rooms. We had half board. The food at the buffet was ok but not more, and the restaurant was always very crowded. The pool bar was nice. I think the price was too expensive for what we got this week. Roberta Silva, Atendimento ao cliente/recepção at Samoa Beach Resort, responded to this review Aloha,Thank you for sharing your review and for providing such a detailed account of your experience at Samoa Beach Resort. We are pleased to know that the location, the natural protection provided by the reef, and the pool bar were positive aspects of your stay. At the same time, we regret that certain points—such as the size of the rooms, the sea view, the restaurant experience during peak hours, and the overall value for money—did not fully meet your expectations.Your comments are very important to us and have already been forwarded to our management team, contributing to ongoing analysis and continuous improvements in our services and facilities.Thank you once again for choosing us and for taking the time to share your feedback. We remain at your disposal.Mahalo,Caroline – Guest RelationsSamoa Beach Resort
