Good hotel with some problems

The majestic is a well run hotel, with comfortable and big rooms, nice bathroom, excellent air condition and wonderful breakfast. The only reason for not giving it full score is that the wifi does not operate properly on some floors. Mine was fine, but colleagues had issues with the wifi. So far this is the best hotel I visited in Ponta Negra, in some 15 years of returning every year. Great boutique type of hotel, great location, easy to walk to shops, restaurants and dinners. Amazing service from staff and a good variety of food for breakfast. My family and I had a very good impression of the city and the hotel was a big part of ot. I highly recommend this hotel.

I totally enjoyed the stay in the hotel. The room was clean with charming classical style. The staffs were friendly and helpful. I had great time in the restaurant also, with proper advice to choose the dishes. The location of the hotel is nice for business use, because it is located in the town with many restaurant and shops, but has good access to the beach to have a relaxed time. One thing that can be improved for the hotel is the internet connection, especially in the room. We're platinum member at Best Western and are usually very happy with the service. This hotel in Ponta Negra is said to be a 5* hotel, but is just a horrible place! The rooms are clean and the staff are mostly nice, but in our room we were not able to sleep because we could hear the people talk outside (and being on a principal road every car which passed). Also there was something broken in the bathroom, so that every time when someone switched the light on it was so noisy, that we thought the whole hotel was going to fall! We had to tell the reception twice and I had to demand for another room after we had 2 sleepless nights! Also we had booked a room for 4 people, which at check in we were told was not the case (thank God I had printed out the booking): in the room there were only towels for 2 people and also not enough shower gel etc. In the new room we had the same problem. In the end we got the stuff (new towels etc), but you had to ask for everything. The breakfast is Best Western quality, but I go to a hotel, because I need to sleep. So even the food being good, we will NEVER come back here, as it was a horrible experience.

Location is not at the beachfront , but if your looking for a superb breakfast buffet, clean rooms and upscale restaurant for a Friday night dinner this is the hotel. Super convenient location for local shops at same block , safe area and great friendly service.
