This was one night stay because of a flight that would leave early the next day . Chose this hotel because of it’s proximity to the airport . Halls smelled of mold , room is very small , not really anything good to say about this hotel . Sent me to a room that already had people in it , the person was scared as I opened the door. Communication is an issue for the staff. I have requested a "do not disturb" placard from the front desk, which was given to me just on the day of my check-out, after another three requests to different people. Another issue is regarding to the telephone line (room phone). As we tried to call reception (*1), there was a message saying "impossible". It's bizarre, really. Hotel is old, mattres was old, dirty and torn, room was dirty, air conditioning didn’t work, so room was hot and moist. I moved the thermostat so that it wood cooo down, but it only made a lot of noise and still didn’t work. Shower had mold on the edges. I have to recognize Daiane the receptionist. She went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I was as comfortable as I could be coming from a 30 hour flight. The attention I received made me feel seen and special. I have no words to thank her. Nice staff, nice clean rooms and enough towels. Beds are okay to spend multiple nights. Good breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am missing a seperate bar, though might not be the default in this part of the world.
