?? Alina, Anel, Ines, Almedin, wellness centre staff

    rating24 Jan 2026

Welcoming, lovely, efficient, responsive, pleasant, cheerful, warm, helpful, offered reassuring words with hopes for better weather to ease travel, good natured, kind hearted like many Sarajevans (including taxi, bus drivers, passport control officer, bakery ladies, hotel staff, random strangers who offered help without being asked, even Roma are sweet-ish!) I have had great pleasure to meet during my stay thus far. Sarajevans are lovely. Thank you for your excellent, dedicated service. Hotel and airport transfer arranged by airline company for flight cancelled on 25 January 2026.

    Heart of Sarajevo??

    rating15 Jan 2026

The best hotel in Sarajevo where you always want to comeback! Staff is the biggest credit to this place very friendly and welcoming. Specious lobby with original design where you can relax and enjoy cup of tea or coffee is traditional Bosnian corner. Cosy restaurant serving delicious breakfast. Room is extremely big and comfy only thing is I wish to improve us to have a walk in shower as personally not fun of bathtubs))) Spotless cleaning service and any orders yon asking for coming in a minute what I didn’t see in most of 5 star hotels! Although this property is 4 star the star number 5 working at the reception: Alina will make sure you welcomed warmly and feel there at home! She truly made our stay extra special from the moment we entered hotel! Thank you for another fantastic holiday and see you next time.

Close to the Airport, but Lack of Transport to Old Town is a Challenge

    rating07 Jan 2026

Location: Near the Sarajevo Airport, a shopping centre an other conveniences. Rooms: The rooms are spacious and provide plenty of drawers and hanging space for clothes. The beds are very comfortable. The bathroom is a good size and has all the usual conveniences with a rainfall shower and a hand held unit. The TV has a number of multi-language channels, including English, for news, sport, business and entertainment. The air conditioning should be variable but it didn’t work for me. There is a small desk and a number of power points but no USB ports. The power points stop working when you remove your card from the slot - this means you can’t charge devices when you go for breakfast, the gym, etc. Amenities: The breakfast is very good with a wide range of selections of eggs, sausages, cereals, cold meats and cheeses, salads, pastries and breads. At times the juice machines were empty of specific juices and the coffee machines could be temperamental but these were small problems. The Wellness Centre is very good. The gym has free weights, cable machines, cardio machines, etc. (it could do with more frequent cleaning, especially the stretching mats). The pool is popular with guests and there are two saunas (traditional and infra-red) although they weren’t switched on when I visited some times - quite cold in the middle of winter!. Massages can be booked for this space. Reception is quite large (although the swing chairs can not only be annoying, they take up a lot of space when the kids are swinging on them). There is an ATM in the foyer. There are two cafes - one on the ground floor which was great and one on the 15th floor which was far from great. The breakfast dining area is located on the ground floor. Services: Checking in and out was easy. Staff dealing with problems was not. When I went to complain of the rude service of the waiter on the 15th floor cafe, the staff knew who I was talking about before I described him, rolled their eyes, gave each other a knowing smile and advised me to make a complaint through a review. I was quite surprised as Accor staff usually deal with problems rather than recommend a criticism be made in a review. Taxis are hard to come by and the most the staff do is repeatedly phone a taxi number. Given the proximity to the airport, I would have thought an arrangement with taxis would be in place. In order to ensure I could get to the airport for my next flight, I booked a premium service independently and had a car and driver arrive on time. I recommend this if you are not driving in the city. Value for Money: It is good value for money, however the lack of transport to and from Old Town make a more expensive yet central hotel a better option for tourists wanting to see the significant history of this city. Overall Comment: While the hotel is good and provides some good services. The rudeness of a waiter on the 15th floor cafe was exceptional. Aggressive answers to questions, rude and sharp questions to the guest, flinging the menu on to the table and walking away - I eventually left when he never returned to take my order (he was prioritising chatting with the girl behind the cafe bar). I complained to the hotel staff but they were reluctant to do anything beyond the recommendation to complain in a review. On the other hand, the young woman on the ground floor cafe (afternoon and evening shift) was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, she was everywhere all at once, very efficient, friendly and hospitable. She is an asset to the hotel and could teach service skills to some people.

    HORRIBLE HOTEL STAY AWAY!!!!!

    rating08 Nov 2025

The Ibis Styles Hotel in Sarajevo, which is not based near the city centre and as a solo female traveller, I had to make do with taxis at extra costs. I will give you a breakdown of my nights and also include the photos, which I also supplied for a refund, but were denied because they responded that they did not see any problem with the room. I booked my double room about a month in advance, and after arriving around midnight, I also kept the hotel informed that I had been delayed due to cancelled flights. I just wanted a shower and a bed. But I walked into a bedroom that smelled of stale air, damp and second-hand smoke pumping through the ventilation system. I took a shower but could not wash my hair because the hairdryer was broken, no toilet paper in the bathroom, and the drainage after my shower was still there at 4 am. I could not sleep because of the continuous dripping sound of a leak. I included the photos of this. The sockets were not screwed on, and in any hotel, this would have been a health and safety violation. The TV was hanging on for dear life and tilted forward, definitely unable to view. I phoned the front desk around 149am, frustrated because I had to travel to the city centre at 7 am for my day trip. I ended up changing rooms at 6 am in the morning with no sleep. I was not happy. On my return from my day trip, I experienced the second-hand smoke and stale air through a ventilation system which clearly did not work and as an Asthmatic, I suffered. I went to the reception, but unfortunately, they were fully booked. I feel sorry for the staff because this hotel is very subpare, not worth its stars. If you have a bad product, your ratings suffer, but to receive a response from you that you are happy with what you offered me, I will definitely make sure none of my friends use your premises.

    Appalling service in restaurant

    rating02 Nov 2025

Give the Sky Bar Restaurant an absolute swerve. Glacially slow service, a smug, officious waiter, Limited menu and stone cold food which took 45 mins to arrive. Given the order was a burger and chips, this is appalling service. When the food was sent back it took a further 15 mins and was very greasy when it did.
