We chose Ghent as our base in Belgium. Perfect for day tripping. The hotel gifted us a canal tour, which we loved. It was arguably as enjoyable as the one in Bruges. We loved our time in Ghent. The hotel has a lower level bar which we visited. The room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were helpful and kind. Unfortunately, they were not respected.Mistakes can happen, but what is most disappointing is the complete lack of follow-up.
