We had such a wonderful stay! This hotel is in a perfect location, close to everything you’ll want to see. We asked for a quiet room and slept like babies. The bathroom in the King Superior room is a European dream. So spacious and perfect for two people. The hotel staff are all incredibly helpful and we especially appreciated the bartender, Fabian. As a Hilton honk member we we allowed early check in and we given a courtyard view room. It was super quiet. The staff were wonderful. Unlike some of our other European hotels, the air conditioning worked well, which was wonderful because we don’t do well sleeping with duvets. The location was perfect. We stayed at the Hotel Astoria, in a King Premium room, for 2 weeks. I'll address the one negative aspect first and that is the noise from the pedestrian Kartnerstrasse (that goes on all night). The hotel was built in 1912 and has had a recent (opened as Hilton in May 2025) 1.5 year long renovation.
