I stay at the El Faro hotel every time I come to Villa La Angostura, which I have done twice a year for the past several years. I’m never disappointed. The hotel is beautiful, the views are incredible, the staff is very attentive, and the breakfast buffet is memorable. I stay at a room with fireplace and they leave the wood ready for me to strike a match and get it going. Our stay at El Faro was truly exceptional. As frequent travelers, we can confidently say this hotel ranks among the best we’ve experienced. The location is simply unmatched—you could spend all day and night admiring the breathtaking views. The view at El Faro cannot be beat - beautiful mountains and right on the lake! We would like to also shout out the hotel's dinner service. The food was affordable and delicious. They were flexible as to when you can eat as well. Definitely worth the meal! Beautiful location. If only that was all that mattered!
We were really excited for our stay. Unfortunately the room we booked based on photos was not the room we got. They put the photos of the best rooms online but no guarantee you will get them and there is a big difference - even though they are same price and ‘category’! This is known and admitted to it (so essentially bait advertising!). Staff brushed us off, were rude and we waited 2 hours trying… We were really excited for our stay. Unfortunately the room we booked based on photos was not the room we got.
