Charming staff who unfortunately have not got their act together. Three nights with on and off hot water, half cooked food (great lump of meat cooked one end but still frozen the other) and noise from other guests, and as below. Our third night was a return visit (stuck with it as arranged by tour company, and unfortunately a fourth night too...cannot wait to be gone) and we had a room with a vent… Charming staff who unfortunately have not got their act together. Previous reviews of this hotel are accurate. It is pleasant, convenient for airport pickup or the bus station, and close enough to town for a 10-15 minute walk. The neighborhood is quiet. The hotel is located in the quiet surroundings some 10 minutes walk from the Calafate main street with shops and restaurants. Rooms are spacious and clean, breakfast is not especially rich. It's a good place for accomodation if you plan to visit Perito Moreno glacier. The hotel itself is on a rather barren stretch of road but actually quite a short walk to town by using a set of stairs at the end of the street. The hotel itself is in need of updating - everything in our room was quite ratty, especially the bedding (thin, worn sheets, no mattress bad). Some modest updating would improve this hotel greatly. We choose this hotel on price and location. We were surprised to find that it appears to be in quite a desolate location, but actually it is only about a 20 minute walk into town. We had a car but preferred to walk. (Turn left at the street and go to the end where stairs go into town.) The room was adequate with a comfortable bed and good shower. Breakfast was reasonable.
