Location

‘The Cross’, as it is affectionately known, has a proud history that dates back to 1883. Welcome to a hotel that’s part of Dunedin’s rich heritage. Scenic Hotel Southern Cross stands proudly in the centre of Dunedin. The hotel itself harks back to the city’s economic and cultural standing in Victorian New Zealand, as does much of the surrounding architecture. The property is located in the heart of Dunedin’s CBD, just a few blocks from the Octagon. It is also close to: the Speights Brewery, the Railway Station, the Toitū Otago Settlers Museum, Cadbury World, shopping and entertainment.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 178 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Souvenirs can be purchased at the gift shop.
