Location

The hotel is located where San Francisco's financial, commercial and social royalty have held court and, as the only indoor historic landmark in San Francisco, the Garden Court (the hotel’s restaurant) has been its throne room. Everything about the Garden Court impresses and that is what San Francisco pioneers William Ralston and Senator William Sharon intended when they opened the hotel in 1875. When the hotel opened it was the largest in the world. With its location on Market Street - the commercial spine of San Francisco - the hotel became the epicentre of the young city's commerce and culture, today known as the Financial District.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 552 non-smoking rooms. The reception desk is open round the clock. A baggage storage service and a safe are available.
